Chris S.
Private tutor in Kingston, Canada
Education
I completed a Bachelor of Computer Science degree with a specialization in Cognitive Science at Queen's University in 2013. In 2016 I completed the immersive Bitmaker web development course, which focused on Ruby on Rails.
Experience
I started programming at the age of 8, using the Turing language and continued throughout high school for classes as well as a hobby. I have worked in the industry as a software developer for approximately 4 years, working on both small and large teams. Projects I've worked on include large-scale data pipelines and machine learning models for recommender systems, integration of cloud technologies for enterprise software companies, and a ton of general front/back end web development. I am an excellent communicator and enjoy explaining concepts and helping to simplify things to make them easier to understand. I am also a very patient person and will meet you where you're at in terms of understanding! Whether you are just trying to pass an elective course you have struggled with, or are pursuing a career in technology, we can work together to meet your needs.
